After studying the giant asteroid Vesta in 2011 and 2012, NASA spacecraft Dawn has begun orbiting dwarf planet Ceres, located in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. NASA researchers unveiled a new color map of the object’s surface, deepening a mystery that began with earlier Hubble images.
