Space-station based "Gravity" took home seven Oscars last night, including the best visual effects.
But in reality, life on the real-life space station is just as visually stunning as the movie, as NASA proves in a set of images posted to Flickr.
NASA put together an album of these absolutely amazing images from space and life on the space station.
They include thunderstorms, sunsets, and cities viewed from above, as well as some of the more memorable images from spacewalks on the ISS.

Another view of the sun from the ISS. In this, the sun is setting. The ISS orbits 230 miles over the surface of the Earth and orbits our planet more than 15 times a day.
